Towdah was born during the pandemic. Churches, offices, and even our hearts were closed. It was a scary time. I just wanted to worship God, and I prayed that he would clarify what was happening in our world. I picked up my flags and went onto my deck, something I rarely did because of fear. Using flags and learning how to use them made me uneasy. I purchased a pair of flags and just started waving them; I waved them through the uncertainty about what was happening in the world and through my fears. I spoke to God, and I received. I shared with my leader, Apostle Theresa Hawkins, this crazy idea that I had to go out and worship with some of my friends. She supported me all the way, so I called some of my friends, and we met at one of the local parks, put on our radios, and worshiped God, letting people know that Jesus loves them. We shared stories and hugs and decided to return next week. I was so thankful to God, for my family, leadership, and my life. Although uncertainty still lingered, I knew for certain that God had a plan for my life to prosper and not harm me, to give me hope and a future. Therefore, I would thank him. Towdah, Give Thanks!
